Community Supported Agriculture is alive and well in many parts of the country.  We have seen an increased interest in supporting small, diverse farms here in N.H. as well.  Spring Ledge offers a CSA program where customers can help with the up front costs of starting the season at the farm.  Seeds, labor, greenhouse repairs, tractor repairs, fertilizers, and energy required to start up for the Spring and Summer require much capital that is not recouped until later in the summer when the crops are sold.  The Farm Share at Spring Ledge works as a sort of mini-loan where the customer pre-buys store credit and can use that credit at any time during the year on anything the farm offers.

Purchase the credit before the end of March and receive a 3% return on your investment.  For instance, if you purchase $300. of farm shares, you receive $309. as store credit to redeem throughout the year.
