Winning Entry - Barbara Holland Cooper Apple Varieties: MacIntosh & Cortland



  1. Preheat oven to 425 F
  2. Mix sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, flour in a separate bowl.
  3. Alternately layer the apples and the sugar mixture, several small pieces of the butter, and some fresh squeezed lemon juice in the pie dish lined with the bottom crust.
  4. Cover with top crust. Bake 50-60 minutes at 425F
