Another Seed Sowing workshop! Since the snowstorm hit last Saturday, and since some of you were not able to make it to our seed sowing workshop, we will be repeating the workshop on this Saturday, April 8th from 10:00 – 1:00. Time slots signups are every half hour. Just give us a call, an email or pm us on Facebook.  This very popular program is an easy way to start your own seeds…leave the mess with us!  We will provide the seeds, organic soil, seed trays and know-how.  You choose the seeds and sow them into the trays.  Here is a tentative list of the seeds offered for this workshop…we will be refining the list in the coming week.  Seed Sowing catalog April 1st 2017.   You may also bring your own seeds from home, or purchase seeds here at the farmstand.  Learn about the best ways to start seeds inside, which crops are best started early and how to avoid the pitfalls of starting seeds.  Please call or email to reserve your spot as this is a very popular program and space is limited.  Walk-ins welcome, although priority is given to those with a reserved spot.

Cost for the workshop, including the seeds, soil, tray and know-how is only $20.    You will take home a seed tray with 100 plants of spring hope and promise.  Alternatively, for $40, we will grow your seed tray for four weeks, and you can pick it up around May 1st.  There is no limit on the number of seed trays you sow.   The results of a seed tray grown in a greenhouse, with full light, regular watering, fertilizer and daily attention are excellent.

We estimate the total time needed to pick out seeds and sow the trays to be about 30 minutes.   Hope to see you there.

A great way to invest in garden starts, or perhaps in a mass planting of a particular cultivar.  Bring your grandkids, your friends and your families.
