How well our plants grow, both inside and outside the greenhouse, depends on the environment. We learn as much as possible about the soil, fertilizer, pest pressures and weather affects as we can. If you can stand it, peruse the navigation at the right for some more in depth explanations of soils, pest control and integrated pest management as we see it here at Spring Ledge Farm.
Spring Ledge Farm grows in 10 greenhouses and 4 cold frames. We grow ornamental flower crops and tomatoes for harvest in these structures. We use drip irrigation in the greenhouses for hanging baskets and for the tomato crops. Other equipment used for helping water and moving plant material include a trough irrigation system, large wagons, tractors and monorail carts.
